Funding for Programs
That Strengthen the Game
Since 1977, the Carolinas Golf Foundation has provided more than $4 million in total support for golf in North and South Carolina. Each year, it funds programs and projects led by nonprofits, schools, and public agencies. The work ranges from junior and women's golf to adaptive programs, course improvements, and turfgrass research. In 2026, 27 programs received funding. Applications open once a year, on Giving Tuesday.

Who's Eligible and What the Foundation Funds
Every request must directly benefit golf in North or South Carolina. To apply, your organization should be:
-
A 501(c)(3) nonprofit, public school, or public agency serving North or South Carolina
-
Running a program or project that directly benefits golf in the Carolinas
-
Able to present clear, measurable goals and an itemized budget
-
Able to track outcomes and report on impact
-
Willing to recognize CGF and CGA support, as appropriate
The Foundation funds turfgrass research and education, junior golf programming and access, women's golf initiatives, community and inclusion programs, course and facility projects, and education and outreach. Equipment purchases may qualify if they directly support program outcomes.
Individual golfers: Individuals can't apply for grants. Junior golfers can get help with tournament entry fees through Financial Assistance, and college-bound high school seniors can apply for the David Parrott Memorial Scholarship.
