What is a home club? How can I update my home club?

A home club is a player’s primary golf club designated by the player to ensure their Handicap Index® is managed in accordance with the Rules of Handicapping. Should a player have questions regarding the Rules of Handicapping, handicap reviews or score edit/deletion requests, the Handicap Committee at the designated home club will be the primary point of contact.

If you would like to update your home club designation, you will need to contact the club directly to be added to their handicap roster. They should add you to their roster using your existing Handicap ID so that you may continue to use the same GHIN number, and your existing scoring record will remain intact. Once this step is complete, the club will update the designation in your GHIN profile.
